After finishing my adventure of culinary school and externship in Oaxaca, I've gone back to school at UT to study the Anthropology of Latin American food, the Maya in particular.
I've received a research grant from the College of Liberal Arts and this summer I'll use it while studying ceremonial foods of the Maya in Belize, Guatemala and Yucatan...mainly Yucatan. I'm hoping to catch some of the rain god ritual baking ceremonies while I'm there.
