Chile de Agua

Chili de Agua is my absolute new favorite chile pepper. Unfortunately, I could not find them anywhwere in Austin. I was able to obtain some seeds on my trip. Currently they are beautiful little seedlings that I guard with my life. I'm hoping to be able to put them outside in a week or 2. This year, since I'm starting so late I'm only testing with 3 seedlings. If it works, I will test several in the spring.

all i've had was a description of the chili de agua, didn't know of it when i was in Oaxaca where my Son-in-law is from. Riemer seed is out of stock and it's not even on the list in Wisconsin seed stores. I've had luck using seeds from dried chilis, but haven't found dried "de agua"s. i would be happy to find one pepper to get the seeds from even if i have to dry it myself. this would make 11 varieties of chilis in this summers' garden. my daughter loves them also. good luck with your plants. what are your favorite ways to prepare this chili.
